Remember those flower seed packets you received at the Groundbreaking ceremony?  One of our parishioners gave our sacristan Tom Keenan this picture of the flowers the seeds produced in the garden!

The Phones Are Ringing!

The electric was turned back on at the school about an hour ago and once again we have phone service which makes us all very happy, especially our new daytime receptionist Gina Whitlock!

It's Electric!

Today the power to school was shut down in order that this transformer can be moved out of the way of the building project.  The transformer's new location is pictured below.  Of course, the day cannot be without a glitch, the phone system went down at the Holy Family Center because it is networked with the school phone system!  The generator did not solve the issue, but do not fear, when you call you will still hear a live voice greeting you....we are forwarding calls to the receptionist's cell phone.  Thank you in advance for your flexibility in receiving call backs as staff is now responding via email to phone calls until the power is back on on Friday (expected date of return of power if all goes well!).

Steel Yourself

The first piece of steel was set this morning around 8AM!  The crane lifts the piece of steel and places it on top of the anchor bolts that were set so carefully and perfectly a few weeks ago for just this reason.

A drawing of what the church will look like once all the steel is set.  The steel company projects that it will be finished setting steel in two weeks, around the beginning of August.

Parking Lot Milling

This is a picture of the parking lot directly in front of the school that is being milled this week in preparation for laying the stone base, setting catch basins, piping, and fabric.

During this phase we have less parking available so we please be accommodating to those that may need to park close to church.  If you are a walker, please park at St. Martha's or in the lot by the Parish Meeting Center in order that other parishioners who may need a closer parking spot can have them!  Thank you for your flexibility while we complete this part of the parking lot.
